I've been walking around with a garlic garland around my neck in the hopes that The Chicklet's germies will stay away from my sinus cavities.
Her school has a "no fever" policy. So... since I have no other alternatives, it means I work from home and run around making red jell-o and chicken soup.
Thankfully I stocked up after our last brush with zombification.
Who knew visiting Steenky Bee would mean her germs would spread through the interwebs right to our house? And to think I've been using the Mac! What happened to "an Apple a day keeps the doctor away"?

HAHAHA!
What a hoot!
I love those ads and this was a great send-up.
Like everybody else, I have a love/hate relationship with these things.
You just never know when they're going to.........
Mr Coppens sir: Right after I laughed it up the MacBook started making a whirring sound. Maybe I'll use a picture of a clove of garlic as my desktop.
works for me.
works for me.
I miss you. Hope Chicklet feels better soon!
Mike: I thought it repeats on you ;) *giggle*
Leighann: Missed you to babe... Thanks.
LOL. Great pics. I've got good news, my computer virus on the work machine seems to be gone finally.
Charles: I stole the chicken soup pic, the one I had from the museum looked like Warhol had been on drugs... wait...
Yay for the good news! I wonder if the CDC has opened a special division for computer viruses that reach out from the interwebs yet. Wait.. they have, they call it NIMH. Nevermind ;)
awww...I hope Chicklet gets to feeling better real soon! You made me lol at the apple a day/Mac comment!
I have both a PC and a Mac and I'm pretty much hating on both of them equally most of the time. LOL
Hope the Chicklet is feeling better today.
Hugs to the Chicklet!! and to you too.
Fortune cookies: Thanks! Nothing some soup, raspberry jello and a couple of video games won't cure.
That dang Apple was taunting me!
Jay: Neither of them is the "complete" system it's supposed to be. Thanks, she'll smell, I mean, feel better after a bath.
Dianne: You give great hugs sweetheart!
I do hope Chicklet's germies stay at bay and that she is feeling better soon!
And thank you for being a mom who follows the no fever rule!
Yes, I'm germy. Very germy. Actually, I'm feeling much betta now and I'm a little hopped up on cough medicine and surfing the web. Not the best combination.
Also, THANK YOU THANK YOU for not sending your child to school with a fever. If I weren't so sure I wasn't still contagious, I would high five you right now.
Dana: Thanks, she's getting quite the pampering.
Parents who don't follow that rule often do because they can't afford missing work, and I can sympathize. Unless it means my daughter brings germies home.
Steenky: Poor sweetie! I can look forward to posting while zombified by NyQuil eh?
When kids go to school sick and contagious they can't perform and it just takes longer to get better and on top of it, they make everyone else sick... I heard the same cold once paralyzed a whole school district because it was passed along continuously. Really!
Feel better chicklet...your new CD went into the mail today
Well, I hope I haven't caught anything... I'm using Linux, so I should be okay ;-)
I also hope Chicklet is better soon.
See? No one believes when I tell them about Jen. They all learn though...one way or another.
I want someone to make chicken soup.
Ha! Love South Park - and love my Mac . Never had a virus in i'ts whole faithful little life. Though it did make a whirring sound today.....
Bond: After many bowls of jello and some banana-chocolate muffins, she feels better. Looking forward to the CD.
Brian: I can't tell you how much I laughed when I saw your video today! hehehe! Chicklet appreciates the well wishes.
Heinous: Why didn't you warn me? WHY???!!!
Karen: Well, come on over!
Sue: Whirring... that's how it starts...
Best wishes for a quick return to a healthy home!
What a GREAT post, Anndi!
LOVE the the images and captions you used!!!
(Picnik???)
Oh...and what a good mommy you are too. I mean, you had ALL the major STAPLES for being sick...JELLO and Chicken soup!!!!
AAAAChoooo!

Hi,
Glad you stopped by today. A few weeks ago my laptop got a virus so I don't have many of my blog addresses anymore - really - it's true.
Sorry Chicklet is feeling ill - hope things are better soon and the garlic keeps you healthy.
I promise to be back around.
I'm sorry the Chicklet has been sick. I hope she's doing well and you are healthy.
My MacBook said to say HI to your Macbook;-)
Why are kids so sensitive about what we're blogging about?

Sorry, too much caffeine this morning.
Travis: You too bro. Need cake soup?

I should be a shoe-in for mom of the year... except for the blogging it and all.
Carletta: I managed to find my way back! Now drape garlic over your laptop (it works).
Turnbaby: She's milking it for all it's worth.
Laptop love! hehehe!
PHFL: Seriously, they need to lighten up!
Not enough on my end... pass the java!
