I'll be around

First, I want to thank you for the lovely birthday wishes. We had a wonderful time together as a family this weekend. Unfortunately the hotel pool was closed so we changed some of our plans. However, Chicklet had a blast Saturday night at Chuck E Cheese playing the firefighter game (she completed all levels) and skee-ball and we made it back safely after a 6 hour drive yesterday.

Unfortunately, I came home to some not so good news for a member of my family. Thankfully it isn't a health issue and since that's the most important, I'm hoping this situation is for the good.

Looks like I'm going to be a busy girl this month and I'm not sure just how often I'll be posting. I will however try and visit as much as I can.

I leave you a "huh?" moment I had last month when I drove by the home improvement store and saw this...

I once dated a man in college who, I don't doubt for a minute, today drives around in a vehicle similiar to this one. There was just 'something' about him.

Hope things work out well in time.

What was that like a 15 point. Damn that there is the biggest 15 point VW I've ever seen. That's a hell of a kill.

LOL @ Lu--

I'm so happy for your family time.

I'll send along all my best for your family member.

And a big wrapping my arms all the way around hug for YOU!

I'm glad you had a great weekend. Time with your daughter and your honey are the true treasures.

We'll be here when you here; don't worry.

Oh, and that photo? Duh...huh?

DB: Thanks buddy. It just makes the joy of getting older last longer LOL ;)

FADKOG: I work with guys who have one mounted to a hardhat and they like to wear it with a red clown nose just to get a rise out of me. Boys...
Thanks, from the tone of the message I received I think it'll work out. But it was totally out of left field for me. Guess it was a 'you need to be more in touch' kind of message for me.

Lu: and just think! It comes with it's own mode of transportation... no need to tie it up to your hood.

Turnbaby: Isn't she a hoot?
I really needed that family time with some of the crap lately.
Thanks, I'm sure she'll be fine. Seems to take it all in stride... but I'll know more when I talk to her. Sometimes we put on a brave front.
I totally felt you up when you hugged me BTW :)

Songbird: Thanks, it was just what the doctor ordered!
I was tempted to stake it out to see if I could spot the owner as they came out of the store but sadly I had curtains to hang ;)

Glad you had a good time. I hope the family situation turns out okay.

I wouldn't drive around in something that looks like that, but it's great to see people expressing themselves ;-)

So happy to hear you had a good weekend and that the bad news isn't health related. :)

Ummm....Did you ask me before you decided to go gallavantin (sp?) about Missy? Don't you be gone long now...

Don't make me come up there.

Hope everything works out. :o)

I was behind a car who had a dog hat on the roof. It turns out the lady had her sunroof open and her dog was sticking it's ears out. I wish I would have had time to take a picture because it did look comical.

Best of luck for your busy month, and with the family issue.

Wow, are those things in season this time of year? I remember bagging one of those last year. Had to field dress the damn thing right there in the middle of the freeway.

Once you get past the hard shell on the outside, there not to bad eats too.

Maybe it's the PalinMobile making rounds, because she heard somewhere that Canada is really part of the U.S. and you all might vote for her if she visits. ;)

Glad you had a nice birthday.
