Walking away is not an option... dialogue must prevail.
"A good listener tries to understand what the other person is saying. In the end he may disagree sharply, but because he disagrees, he wants to know exactly what it is he is disagreeing with." - Kenneth A. Wells

She'll go from winning a wind surfing contest in the morning to her lab work on cancer cures in the afternoon to her Tony award winning gig on broadway to a late night jam session with her grammy award winning rock band.
Tough to fit a "hi Mom" in there, but I'm sure she'll manage.
It's so hard to watch them grow up...there's a word for that - naches - it's Yiddish for that feeling of pride you get from your child. She'll remember you.
I've been coloring out the whites and greys for some time and my kids don't do anything like THAT!!! Wow, what fun. Oh but wait, I get sea sick. I'll stay on land and cheer them all on.

There is no singular truth.
"Life is a process of becoming, a combination of states we have to go through. Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it. This is a kind of death." - Anais Nin
