Creative Photography Contest #6
My friend Roger has started something I wasn't sure I had the cahones to participate in, a Creative photography contest. You can get links to the other participants HERE.
I've always loved taking pictures and just over 10 years ago, my favourite subject made her way into this world.
This picture was taken several years ago in our old yard. We had set up a blanket on the lawn and Chicklet spent a portion of her day investigating the flora and fauna. I won't tell you what she's holding in those precious little hands of hers, but I can tell you ever since I can remember she's held my heart.
I made Chicklet the focal point (she's come to expect this, ya know) and softened things around her a bit. I played with the colour contrast a smidge ... and, well.. just look at it. If it bores me to gives you the step by step of how I got the picture to look this way, I expect it would bore all y'all to tears. I'm not telling you how I made Chicklet either. That's a secret! shhhhhhh! teehee!
Here's my entry, Roger...

Thats a show stealer Anndi!
Very nice, thank you for your Creative Photography submission.
Angell: Thanks babe, I had a wonderful subject! SMOOCH
Roger: She stole my heart when I peed on the stick. I like to tell her it was when she stared up at me with her big blue eyes after she was born... it's a sweeter story *giggle*.
Thanks sweets!
Beautiful Anndi - just beautiful!
that photo looks like cake frosting and twice as lucious it really is dreamy....
Dana: Thank you :)
DB: Well, little girls are made up of sugar and spice and everything nice, so frosting is a delicious description!
Thanks pal!
Anndi, a very sweet picture. Nice photo editing! Good luck in the contest! :)
Excellent! But of course, you had the perfect subject.
The Teach: Thank you! This has been one of my favourite pictures for quite some time. There's something wonderful about watching a child find something they are fascinated by. I had fun playing with my photo editor. Good luck to you as well! :)
Travis: Spoken like a true uncle. *hugs*
ok Dana said exactly what I was going to say only in a different order. So I'll just say ditto :)
Kids are great to photograph, often seen with real facial expressions with nothing to hide. Nice entry!! Good luck in the contest!

Ya see...that's another great thing about being a Libra...you're multi-talented!
Not only did you create a beautiful child.

But you are also a very creative photographer, Anndi!
Beautiful image!
Bravo!
Me too...I've always enjoyed the camera. I don't know that much about photography, but I just like playing around. It's fun, isn't it?
Have a great evening, Anndi!
Fantastic pic, a beautiful memory..
Wishing you lots of luck but by the looks of it you won't need it!
Luv & Hugs,
Lesley

about every 5 years or so, i pretend i know how to take good pictures. then i remember that i suck at it and give up again...
Really lovely picture of your sweet little girl.
I was just saying to hubby last night that I soooo need to take a photography class. I love to take pictures but don't know when to stop editing them!!! Well, of course any of me automatically get 20 pounds sucked off in photoshop. But I like picnik and picassa too for some other neat effects.
What program are you using? It really works well!
Just beautiful!! You had a great starting subject but just so lovely.

wow anndi - she's beautiful and the photo is amazing!
the way her hands are cupped so gently - speaks to how we all should hang on to the child within us - makes the world so much nicer to look at!
