I'm bored...

I've been home with some form of gastrointestinal ailment for exactly 90 minutes and I don't know what to do with myself.

I sat on my throne and while I cringed at the thought of using my very soft TP after a morning of very UNsoft TP at work, I started to wonder what to do next after the "chaffing". A few tears later and after having done my part to avoid spreading possible germies I grabbed the laptop (portable is a good thing even if not so much for toilets - they are foul) and settled on my chesterfield (gingerly) with it's new cushions (the ones I rearranged earlier for 3 minutes until my mind wandered to what else I could do).

Somehow, I ended up on a site informing me that today is, for my American friends (all y'all are a tad odd, guys), National Beheading Day. I was curious. So I then proceeded to research famous beheadings trying to figure out why of why, and apart for Mr Bobbitt and the misadventures of his little Johnny, I found no other "famous" Americans who have had their heads lopped off (even though I included the "lesser" head to widen my scope).

I wonder, who applies for that job.. seriously, they need to have their head checked.

So anyway, Happy National Beheading Day!

BTW - There are no pictures because googling beheading was very upsetting.

I can imagine them having an electric chair day, but beheadings went out of fashion a long time ago...

I don't think I'd fancy googling decapitation either. Yuck!

I've got a few nominations I'd like to bestow upon a few people to be honored on this national holiday!

Sorry to hear about your poohter trouble. I would have thought that National Beheading Day would have been a French holiday, the guillotine and all.

OMG, Anndi...so sorry to hear about your gastrointestinal aliment.

Let me tell you something...I can handle all kinds of uncomfortable and painful things, but anything to do with my stomach or intestines...I'm like a horse...just shoot me!

And your mention of the UNsoft TP at work, reminded me of the TP in Amsterdam. I lived there for two months and LOVED it. However, their TP was like the roughest sandpaper on earth. It always felt like I was exfoliating and wiping at the same time!

Hey...and thanks for the info on National Beheading Day. I honestly had no IDEA about it. That IS weird...I'd have to agree with you!

Oh...and I totally forgot about Mr Bobbitt and his "little johnny." Boy, when that happened...the newspapers were packed with stories and photos.

Poor guy!

Sending you much healing energy for your tummy!

Hope everything works itself out... TP- which way to hang the roll? Which one to buy... Much material for discussion here...

Hhhhmmm, National Beheading Day?

Never heard of it.

Wonder if I could introduce my ex wife to it's founder?

While I'm sorry for your misery, I marvel at the use of your time spent while contemplating your next bowel movement.

Happy Beheading Day to you, Your Majesty.

I hate to ask, but how does one go about celebrating National Beheading Day? Seems like you wouldn't get away with it more than once or twice.

Honey...are you are medications? Just asking..

(P.S. I think you need something more positive to read while you're sitting on your throne.)

how strange! I read a headline (in the supermarket queue) in something rubbish like 'Chat' magazine that went along the lines of: "Sizzling sex, then she chopped his head off". I only had time in the queue for the tills to read the article "My head exploded" though.
