it never ends...

Chicklet had been complaining of a tummy ache yesterday morning, but I thought it might have been related to the chili she had at her dad's so off to school she went.

Yeah, no.

I picked her up after a first miserable day back at work (apparently the sounds of my coughing echoed all the way down the hall) and she looked like a zombie. I was told she barely ate at lunch. She told me the smell of her food made her want to barf. So, I got her home, stopping on the way to pick up some ginger ale and orange juice. Got her settled into bed and she found that she indeed had a fever. So we're going back to the doc's this morning. Her tummy still hurts, she has a headache and it's concentrated behind her ears. Apparently there's been a bit of a gastroenteritis epidemic throughout the school. JUST what we needed.

*sigh*

It just never ends.

Weirdly, neither Lana nor I have felt our best the last few days. Mostly stomach symptoms.

DeeMarie: I just hope the germs will love us alone, I mean I know Chicklet and I are cute and all but enough! Thanks! :)

Charles: I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you and your lovely bride feel better soon.

No such thing as bad chili! When a kid uses the word "barf", make them carry a bucket around with them- you'll save a fortune in carpet cleaning bills...
Seriousy, hope all in house feel better soon! I'd smootch you, but until the plauge is over- I'll just blow you a kiss!

Oh no, it doesn't sound like it will! I'm glad you're feeling better but sorry about the poor kid. I hope it's just a quick thing that she gets over soon, good luck!

I am fortunate to have an immune system similar to Ft. Knox, and it looks like I passed it on to my son!

Cat: We were relieved to find out it's not an ear infection but just a virus. She just needs rest and fluids.

Turnbaby: I'm hoping this was it for the whole "winter" season. I'm hoping we've built up an immunity for some time to come. SMOOCH

Buff: LOL I didn't think the chili was bad, just that maybe she was having a hard time digesting the beans. She doesn't eat them very often. She had a bucket, a towel and was ordered to stay still. Luckily she's over the nauseous part but I'm still giving her "bland" foods. Chicken soup is on the stove as I type. Thanks for the kiss ;)

GF (and not in the girlie way): A lot of folks have been sick, especially in her school (breeding grounds for the nasty germies) but a nice long bath seemed to have helped her a bit. Maybe helping her sweat it out a bit.

Travis: I'm trying, bro. Thanks.

Ciara: The doc wasn't sure if that's what it was or just another virus... we'll see if she actually starts to hurl. yuck!

Mims: Just under a month... I've been slowly gaining over the last few days. I'm just hoping whatever she's got now, I don't get. Sorry about your son. Hope he's all better now.

Ake: I'm thoroughly fed up indeed. Thanks.

Casey: I hope she's not puny for too long. There's already a bit of sparkle in her eyes, so maybe it'll be short.

Dana: See?! It's good to be an Amazon! ;) Thanks!

Slick: Luckily she's not too discouraged. It was pretty bad last night but some rest and a nice bath seem to be helping. Thanks hon.

Bond: Thanks! I was talking to my plant nurse this morning and asking for advice and she warned of overdoing it. She's a firm believer in building up immunity and not relying on disinfectant this and disinfectant that. Just plain old soap and hot water and a lot of hand washing... Thank goodness for hand lotion.

Gary: Working on it. Thanks! :)

A lot of stuff going around here.
One coworker of mine had phneumonia, another had bronchial phneumonia,
several colds and flus.

I had the flu, then a cold..
and then allergies.

Ready for good health for a while myself!

Hi Anndi!

Oh, poor little Chicklet!

I can take most any kind of illness or pain, but god forbid it be anything involving my tummy.

OMG...I want to die!!!

And good for you for getting her some ginger ale. My father was very big on that stuff whenever we kids got "tummy things"...and it DID help to relieve the ickies.

Sending much "good energy" Chicklet's way....

Feel better, little one!

Hey there little wonder chicklet's Mommy, I'm gonna wish a little harder that things turn round in the wellness department for both of you; did you feel that? I wished real hard :)

Poor Chicklet...ahh there's nothing like winter and school to harvest the most interesting contagious diseases...hope she's feeling better soon...

'terrible day' - 'work' redundant, my dear...

You might need to stay in a hotel and get your house "bombed" for germs.

Feel better Chick.

Ve: I completed the assignment, Sir.

Jay: Thanks uncle Jay, that's right, you are an honourary uncle!

Bud: Thanks pal. It's a virus... time, rest and fluids is all we can do.

Dana: Thanks my precious friend.

Kate: My main request for Santa? health for the ones I love.

Ron: It's something about the ginger. They say it helps with morning sickness too.

Lu: SMOOCH

Coop: Thank you and LOL yeah..

Karen: The problem is she keeps bringing them home from school.

I think our school (and in turn, our family) is finally clear. I'm at the tail end of this "stuff," and the kids have brought nothing new home.

I hope Chicklet feels better very soon.

Just stopped by to let you know I'm thinking of you and hoping your chicklet is on the mend.
