Because he will always be The King...

Happy Birthday, Elvis! Wherever you are.

*sigh* and THUD

It was hard, picking a clip to share with all y'all. This is one of my favourite moments from the '68 Comeback Special. I still squee every time I see it. Hope you enjoy it, Elvis "unplugged" in black leather is a sight to behold.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go watch an Elvis movie.

From what i hear he is working as a greeter in a Walmart in North Dakota...

But seriously..he was a star and changed the direction of music in this country forever, making the music of the black man his own.

Personally, I think he's living on the moon, as reported by the British press a few years ago.

His renditions of things like muss i den and o sole mio weren't bad.

I always regretted not seeing him in live concert. What a beautiful man.

Clap...clap...clap!

Awesome clip, Anndi!

I still remember seeing him in the movie Clam Bake!

He was my mothers favorite!

Happy Birthday, King!

You still ROCK!

Well, my mom reads the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris. And according to Ms Harris, the morgue attendant found the tiniest spark of life and brought the King over. Now the King is a vampire called Bubba living mostly under the radar in Louisiana.

Well, it's as good as any other explanation for all those Elvis sightings.

On a serious note, Elvis was simply a mega talent.

He was a great, influential & gifted entertainer and is a legend, but I'm afraid, the only king is BB King.

Might not be a nice thing to say on Mr Presleys birthday, but BB is truely the master.

Last time I did spring cleaning I moved the fridge out from it's cubby hole and there was a patch of gunky dust on the floor in the likeness of Elvis....I think the mice had started an Elvis cult or something under the fridge...

I've always though Elvis was hawt. Even during his white jumpsuit, bloated days. Oh the things I would love to see in Graceland!

Yep, he will always be the King.

We watched a documentary made about him by his family last week and one of his early TV shows. Brilliant performer.
