I'm letting go...
I once felt a wave
lapping at my feet.
The water tickling me softly,
a warm comforting wave.
The water is calm now,
still and impenetrable.
But I need warmth,
and comfort.

What a terrific piece of music to go with a great post. I'm listening to the whole song before I leave you for the night.
Have a beautiful weekend lovely lady! :)
Peace, Mary
Lovely Post and Lovely Music. x
Mary: The song is "All at Sea" by Jamie Cullum. Someone I cherish once told me about him and I've loved his work ever since. Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Have a great weekend with hubby dear one. *hugs*
Akelamalu: Thank you my friend. Some things just go together. SMOOCH
Letting go when the weight to which we have tied ourselves keeps dragging us down may never be easy, but it is necessary.
It's interesting how we associate warm water with comfort. I love a good warm bath myself. Good poem.
Nick: It's strange how somethings that acted as buoys become things that weigh heavily on our hearts.
Charles: Warmth..a soft warm towel, the feel of a hot cup in our hands in the morning, the warmth of the sun on our nose... Thank you, Charles.
Excellent...you have a touch of a poet in you :D
You need warmth, you got it. Hugs. :)
Dana: But, nothing rhymed! ;p
Meri: Thanks friend! ::hugs::
Ballast, baggage, extra weight, burdens- are all things we carry until we decide they are not worth the extra effort..
Buff: I think it's about making your peace with it and leaving it in someone else's hands.
